United Women in Faith (UWF)

Faith ~ Hope ~ Love – in Action
We are women with a Purpose!
(find events below)

United Women in Faith/UWF (prev. UMW) is a community of women of all ages.
We seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that we can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities.
We gather to support one another’s spiritual lives, for creative supportive fellowship, and to encourage one another to self-giving service in the community and the world. We are a powerful, fearless force driven by
God’s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children and youth, we act for justice and transform communities.
Bold action, like faith, takes courage. Our bravery is inspired by God’s love and our powerful commitment to improve the lives of women, children, and youth. United Women in Faith works for justice through compassionate service and advocacy to change unfair policies and systems that harm women, children, and youth—from racial and gender injustice to economic inequality, climate issues, and more.

Campbell UWF General Meetings (for all Circle members) are held twice a year:
the First Thursday of May and the First Thursday of December in the Fireside Room.
These meetings are followed by refreshments and a program.
The Campbell UWF is part of the CA-NV Conference UWF and the El Camino Real District UWF.

The Campbell UWF Executive Board meets First Thursdays monthly, and all are welcome.
Write the Secretary at uwf[at]campbellunited[dot]org for the minutes or

United Women in Faith – Day of Giving: March  23UWF Day of Giving

On March 23rd in 1869, a group of eight intrepid women founded the Woman’s Foreign Missionary Society, the forerunner of United Women in Faith.
Their vision was to create educational opportunities and provide health care to women in India. These founding women invited others to join their mission through their prayers and two pennies. Thus, a movement of faith and generosity in action was born.

The Legacy Endowment Fund of United Women in Faith is a permanently invested endowment that supports the work of improving the lives of women, children, & youth at home and abroad. The annual Day of Giving on March 23rd is the single largest fundraising activity for the Legacy Fund each year.
On this day, United Women in Faith members and supporters across the country gather
locally and virtually to contribute to and raise funds for the endowment.

We invite all Campbell UWF Members to generously give on the Day of Giving!
Give securely online at bit.ly/DayofGiving2026 or Text Give to 20503.

Cake4Kids

The proceeds from all the donations for the beautiful Baskets
at the April 2025 UWF Tea benefited Cake4Kids.

Cake4Kids partners with agencies, private and public, to provide free custom, homemade cakes and sweets, delivered to at-risk and under-served youth across the country! The youth served may be in foster or kinship care, living in group homes, survivors of domestic violence or human trafficking, living in low-income housing with or without a parent, or even homeless. It may just be a cake/treat, but the children know that a stranger took the time and effort to do something special just for them.

Cakes4Kids is an amazing group that could use more bakers to fulfill the requests in our area.

Do you know about the UWF Reading Program?

Reading Program

Reading Program book lists (catalogs) are available online. Books from the current list, as well as 5 previous years (that qualify for this year’s program) can be viewed and/or purchased from United Women in Faith Mission Resources or from your favorite bookseller.

Most of the books are available as e-books (for Kindle), some are available in braille and audio, and many can be found in your local library.

For over 150 years, United Methodist Women have been involved in mission that includes prayer, study and action, and the United Women in Faith continue that tradition. The Reading Program is a study opportunity, but it should also lead to action. The purpose of the program is to encourage United Women of Faith members to:

  • Expand understanding of and participation in God’s mission.
  • Increase sensitivity to all human beings—their needs, interests and concerns.
  • Encourage critical thinking about issues facing humanity today.
  • Grow in understanding of Scripture as it relates to Christian faith in contemporary life.
  • Enhance self-knowledge and act from that knowledge.
  • Strengthen involvement in local and global Christian mission.
