Midweek Message – 29 July 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Campbell UMC Family & Friends –<\/span><\/p>\n

I pray everyone is doing well and finding moments of grace as we navigate this week.<\/p>\n

The Quiet Work of Becoming
\n<\/u><\/span>Much of life is lived in moments that seem small.
\nA quiet prayer before the day begins. A difficult conversation handled with grace. A neighbor checked on.
\nA word of encouragement offered at just the right moment. Choosing patience when frustration would be easier. Extending forgiveness. Returning to worship. Beginning again.<\/p>\n

These moments may not seem particularly remarkable on their own, but this is often how God works.
\nWe are being quietly shaped by the Holy Spirit through ordinary acts of faithfulness into the people God is calling us to become. \"\"<\/p>\n

Oftentimes, we hope transformation will arrive all at once, yet Scripture tells a different story. Seeds take time to grow. Bread rises slowly. Disciples are formed over years, not moments. God’s work is often quiet, steady, and faithful.<\/p>\n

Where is God shaping you today? How are you being gently invited to become a little more loving, a little more joyful, and a little more courageous?<\/p>\n

The quiet work of becoming is holy work.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Practicing Hope<\/u><\/span>
\nThis past Sunday, I invited us to practice hope throughout the week\u2014not as wishful thinking, but as a way of paying attention to God’s quiet work in our lives and in the world around us. How is that practice going?<\/p>\n

I pray you are noticing small signs of hope all around you.<\/em><\/p>\n

Perhaps it has been an unexpected conversation, an act of kindness, a moment of reconciliation, a beautiful sunrise, a prayer answered in an unexpected way, or simply the strength to take the next faithful step.<\/p>\n

Sometimes the holiest thing we can do is remember that hope often shows up when\u2014and where\u2014we least expect it. As we continue practicing hope together, may God give us hearts and minds to recognize the quiet signs of grace that surround us each day.<\/p>\n

Looking Ahead to Sunday<\/u><\/span>
\nThis\u00a0Sunday<\/a> is the Tenth Sunday After Pentecost, and I look forward to sharing a message entitled
\n“More Than Enough,”<\/em> based on Matthew 14:13\u201321. Faced with a hungry crowd and limited resources, the disciples assume there is not enough. Jesus, however, invites them to place what they have into God’s hands, and abundance emerges where scarcity once seemed certain.<\/p>\n

In a world often shaped by fear, competition, and anxiety about not having enough, Jesus invites us to practice abundance by trusting that God can multiply ordinary offerings into life-giving grace for many.<\/p>\n

An Invitation<\/u><\/span>
\nAs we prepare for worship, I invite you to prayerfully consider someone you might encourage to join you<\/a> this Sunday, whether here on campus or online. A simple invitation can become the beginning of someone else’s journey of hope and faith.<\/p>\n

I also ask for your prayers as we seek to be faithful as a congregation to the opportunities God is placing before us. Together, may we continue to notice God’s quiet work among us and trust that, in Christ, there is always more than enough.<\/p>\n
