It is a personal time, and also a time of dignity and reverence. If you and the pastor mutually agree to proceed with the wedding here, you will make a $100 <u>non-refundable<\/u> deposit (which will count to the overall cost of the wedding), and the wedding coordinator will reserve your date and time. Make your deposit payable to \u201cCampbell United Methodist Church\u201d and in the memo portion, note \u201cwedding deposit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Our ordained ministers are in charge of all weddings performed at this church. With discussion, a guest minister may assist in the ceremony. When such a request has been approved, our pastors will write a letter of invitation. If the wedding is scheduled during our pastors\u2019 vacation, the church office will arrange for another United Methodist pastor to officiate.<\/p>\n<p>If your wedding will be held at the church, the wedding coordinator will work with you regarding music, space decoration, flowers and a rehearsal.<\/p>\n<p>We do have the capacity to hold wedding receptions here, but you should know that no alcohol may be served on this campus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In advance of your wedding day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The pastor will meet at least twice with the couple being married, in order to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>get acquainted<\/li>\n<li>discuss the meaning of the marriage relationship<\/li>\n<li>make plans for each couple\u2019s ceremony<\/li>\n<li>offer the support of the church in undergirding their life and love together<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The purpose of the counseling is not only to make your wedding beautiful, personal and unique, but also to enable your marriage to begin with strength, openness, and grounded love.<\/p>\n<p>It is your responsibility to arrange appointments with the pastor who will perform the ceremony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the United Methodist Church, marriage is not a sacrament, but it is a sacred covenant.
