Faith ~ Hope ~ Love\u00a0 in Action<\/em>\"\"<\/a>
\nUnited Women in Faith (prev UMW)<\/strong><\/a> is a community of women of all ages. They gather to support one another\u2019s spiritual lives, for creative and supportive fellowship, and to encourage one another to self-giving service in the community and the world. Women\u2019s Bible Study<\/strong><\/a> and Discussion Group \u2013 meets at 10am in the Fireside Room every Tuesday<\/em><\/strong>. This group is a wonderful place to learn, study and discuss God\u2019s word, and to enjoy friendship and fellowship. All are welcome. Participants share continental breakfast and their lives, over a discussion of faith-related topics and issues.

Active Seniors (formerly 50+ Unlimited)<\/strong> is made up of men and women, age 50 and older \"\"who come together for fellowship and fun in a variety of activities<\/a> throughout the year. There is no membership requirement; all are invited. We hope to grow in our sense of belonging to a caring community by participating with others in casual, enjoyable events in a wide variety of settings. There are opportunities for barbecues, potlucks, a Christmas party, attendance at Stanford Theater for movie classics, and other events that are listed on the calendar in the Fellowship Hall.\u00a0 Contact: FiftyPlus[at]campbellunited[dot]org<\/p>\n

\nThe Engaging Spirituality<\/strong> Group meets throughout the year in defined sessions with defined themes.<\/p>\n

\"\"There is usually some reading associated with this group and meetings include personal\/faith sharing and prayer.\u00a0 Facilitators include our pastors and other lay-leaders.<\/p>\n

An example of a recent session:<\/span><\/p>\n

How do we hear when God is talking to us?\u00a0 How have we learned to listen to the voice of God?\u00a0 John A. Sanford is a Jungian analyst and Episcopal priest.\u00a0 One of his many books is Dreams, God\u2019s Forgotten Language<\/em>.\u00a0 He suggests that God speaks to us through dreams and visions much like people in the Bible were visited by God and God\u2019s angels and visions.<\/div>\n
Join in a small group exploration of this very readable book starting Thursday from 6-8pm<\/strong><\/em>.
\nWe\u2019ll meet for nine weeks<\/em> in the youth room (3rd floor) in the AMY (admin\/music\/youth) building<\/a>.The book is available at Amazon<\/a> for $10.79; used books are less.\u00a0 It does not seem to be available in an electronic version, nor local libraries.\u00a0 Look for the newest edition (1989 or 1990).

Care-A-Vaners<\/strong> is a California-Nevada United Methodist Conference RV mission team that usually travels within our Conference to work on Methodist Churches and Church properties.\u00a0 They usually work for one week from 8am until 5pm<\/span><\/span> Monday through Friday<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 They often stay on the property where they are working, so need to be self contained.\u00a0 Care-a-Vaners bring their own tools, but the churches provide the materials.\u00a0 They cook their own meals, even though some churches do provide snacks and\/or a pot luck meal.\u00a0 For more information, contact info[at]campbellunited[dot]org<\/p>\n

NOMADS<\/strong> is a National United Methodist RV based mission organization.\u00a0 NOMAD members work at disaster recovery sites, and on Methodist Church properties in 49 of the 50 states — at this time Hawaii is\u00a0 excluded.\u00a0 NOMAD members work for three weeks at a time<\/em>,\u00a0 Monday through Thursday, from 8am until <\/span><\/span>4pm, opening each da<\/span><\/span>y with devotions lead by one of the members.<\/p>\n
