\n We are women with a Purpose!<\/em><\/span>

United Women in Faith\/UWF<\/strong> (prev. UMW) is a community of women of all ages.<\/span>
\nWe seek to connect<\/a> and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that we can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities.
\nWe gather to support one another\u2019s spiritual lives, for creative supportive fellowship, and to encourage one another to self-giving service in the community and the world. We are a powerful, fearless force driven by
\nGod\u2019s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children and youth, we act for justice and transform communities.
\nBold action, like faith, takes courage. Our bravery is inspired by God\u2019s love and our powerful commitment to improve the lives of women, children, and youth. United Women in Faith works for justice through compassionate service and advocacy to change unfair policies and systems that harm women, children, and youth\u2014from racial and gender injustice to economic inequality, climate issues, and more.<\/p>\n

Campbell UWF General Meetings<\/strong><\/em> (for all Circle members) are held twice a year:<\/em>
\nthe\u00a0First Thursday of May<\/em><\/strong> and the First Thursday of December<\/em><\/strong> in the Fireside Room<\/a>.
\nThese meetings are followed by refreshments and a program.
\nThe Campbell UWF is part of the CA-NV Conference UWF<\/a> and the El Camino Real District UWF<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Campbell UWF Executive Board meets First Thursdays monthly, and all are welcome.<\/strong><\/em>
\nWrite the Secretary at uwf[at]campbellunited[dot]org for the minutes or
\nto find out more about events and activities.<\/p>\n

UWF groups at Campbell UMC meet in \u201cCircles<\/strong>\u201d at different times and places.<\/em>
\nCircles meet the second week of each month<\/em>, from September through June<\/em>.
\nFind a Circle<\/a> that is convenient for you.\u00a0 All women are invited to attend.<\/em>

We\u2019re excited for the United Women in Faith Assembly 2026!
\nUWF Assembly is a once-every-four-years gathering of women committed to faith, empowerment, and making a difference. Picture a weekend that uplifts your soul, strengthens your faith, and brings you together with an unstoppable sisterhood.

\n– Community Gatherings<\/span>, where you’ll experience moments of
\nreflection, renewal, and connection in faith,
\n– Workshops<\/span>, where you’ll gain tools to create meaningful change
\nin your life and your community, and an
\n– Experience Hall<\/span>, where you can connect with women from around the world who share your commitment to justice and spiritual growth.<\/p>\n

Cake4Kids<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The proceeds from all the donations for the beautiful Baskets
\nat the April 2025 UWF Tea<\/a> benefited Cake4Kids<\/a>.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Cake4Kids partners with agencies, private and public, to provide free custom, homemade cakes and sweets<\/a>, delivered to at-risk and under-served youth across the country! The youth served may be in foster or kinship care, living in group homes, survivors of domestic violence or human trafficking, living in low-income housing with or without a parent, or even homeless. It may just be a cake\/treat, but the children know that a stranger took the time and effort to do something special just for them.<\/i><\/p>\n

Cakes4Kids is an amazing group that could use more bakers to fulfill the requests in our area.

All are welcome, whether you’re brand-new or just want a refresher. It may be helpful to set up a free account at uwfaith.org\/digital<\/a> in advance, but it is not required. Note that there will be another Open House in June.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Open House conversation will feature step by step instructions to set up your profile and find the resources you need, along with tips, tricks, how-tos, and time for questions.<\/p>\n

Have you been participating in the UWF Reading Program this year?
\nIt is now time to complete the Reading Program Form and send it to the district by the end of August<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

If you’ve read at least one book from each of the five UWF Reading Program categories<\/em>, submit a list of the books to the El Camino Real District Reading Program Coordinator so you can be recognized at the District UWF Annual Celebration.
\nUse the Reading Program Reporting Form found here<\/a> or send an email to: reading[at]ecrduwf[dot]org along with your name, church name, & list of titles read.<\/p>\n

The books we have at CUMC are located on the UWF Book Cart which is kept in the Fireside Room during the week, and in the Fellowship Hall on Sundays. Everyone is encouraged to peruse all these books including the older offerings. Reading Program<\/h3>\n

Reading Program book lists (catalogs) are available online. Books from the current list, as well as 5 previous years (that qualify for this year\u2019s program) can be viewed and\/or purchased from United Women in Faith Mission Resources<\/a> or from your favorite bookseller.<\/p>\n

Most of the books are available as e-books (for Kindle), some are available in braille and audio, and many can be found in your local library.<\/p>\n

For over 150 years, United Methodist Women have been involved in mission that includes prayer, study and action, and the United Women in Faith continue that tradition. The Reading Program is a study opportunity, but it should also lead to action. The purpose of the program is to encourage United Women of Faith members to:<\/p>\n
